## VWO integration VWO (Visual Website Optimizer) is an experimentation and conversion optimization platform for running A/B, multivariate, and split tests. Integrating VWO with Frontegg lets your application read and manage experiments — campaigns, their variations and multivariate sections — manage feature flags and their rollout rules, and read websites and SmartCode settings, Insights metric reports, projects, segments, and account usage on behalf of your users, through the [VWO REST API v2](https://developers.vwo.com/reference/introduction-1). Authentication is an API token, sent on every request as the `token` header. Prerequisites - A [VWO](https://vwo.com/) account - Access to the **Developers → Tokens** page in your VWO account to generate an API token ### Connect VWO VWO authenticates API requests with a token generated in your VWO account. The token is bound to the workspace you select when you create it and does not expire, so there is no periodic re-authorization. #### Step 1: Generate an API token Sign in to VWO and open the [Developers → Tokens](https://app.wingify.com/#/developers/tokens) page. Create a token, choosing the workspace the integration should access. #### Step 2: Copy the token Copy the token value shown after creation and store it somewhere safe — VWO may not display it again. Keep your API token safe The API token grants access to your VWO workspace through the API. Treat it like a password and never expose it in client-side code or commit it to version control. You can revoke it from the Tokens page at any time. ### Configure the Frontegg portal Once you have your API token, configure the integration in the Frontegg portal: 1. Open the **Frontegg portal** and navigate to [ENVIRONMENT] → Integrations → VWO. 2. Paste your VWO API token into the **API Key** field. 3. (Optional) Set **Workspace ID** to a numeric VWO workspace ID. Leave it empty to use the Main Workspace that the token was created for. 4. Click **Save**. Frontegg sends your token in the `token` header on every request to `https://app.wingify.com/api/v2`. Keep your credentials secure Never share or commit your API token to version control. ### Additional resources - [VWO REST API documentation](https://developers.vwo.com/reference/introduction-1) - [Authentication for third-party applications](https://developers.vwo.com/reference/authentication-for-third-party-applications-1)
